Growing up, our closets weren't exactly our own. Our mom loved a matching moment, and for years, we were the "coordinated sisters"... one of us always in pink, the other always in purple, regardless of the outfit. But as soon as we could choose for ourselves, the phrase "stay out of my closet!" became our daily battle cry. To be honest, we weren't exactly inseparable back then. With a three-year age gap and personalities that were polar opposites, we spent more time "negotiating" over borrowed sweaters than we did playing together.

But as we navigated our way into adulthood, something changed. The distance of our separate lives, one building a home as a mother to a son, and the other navigating the unique journey of being an Air Force wife, turned that old rivalry into a deep-rooted friendship. We realized that while we share the same DNA, we still don’t share the same silhouette or style preference. We’re no longer stuck in matching pink and purple; today, one of us might reach for a rugged, acid-washed denim jacket with a bit of edge, while the other looks for something polished and effortless.
